One Step Forward, Two Steps Back: Day 14

“Tonight there will be a, um, ‘romantic’ sunset picnic at the Lagoon,” Efrain said after calling Morning Meeting to order.  Responses to this were quite mixed—Aileen seemed excited, while Keira was quite fiercely opposed to the idea and Braylen seemed incredulous.

“You’re a fine one to complain!” Efrain teased, reminding Braylen of his hot date only the previous day.

As the other sims set off for their daily routines, Alysha and Aileen remained at the table for a long time.  Plotting strategy, perhaps?

While working on her mixology skills later on, Aileen was also seen to be scanning the library walls, possibly searching for the location of the hidden cameras.

And Alysha made a point of taking Efrain aside for a private chat.  What is brewing at HRS?

Some sims seemed ready for action upon arrival at the Lagoon park that evening.  Unfortunately, there were awkward moments ahead.

Efrain and Aileen were enjoying a pleasantly flirtatious interlude, when suddenly Keira bore down upon them.

"Watch out, here she comes!" Aileen hissed.

Ignoring Aileen’s obvious displeasure at seeing her, she made blatant overtures to the embarrassed Efrain.
Everyone ended up feeling quite uncomfortable.

Over by the barbeque grills, Deb and Hunter had been joined by Braylen.  Braylen had been excepted from the flirtatious requirements, since Marci was unable to join the group.

Rather than making himself scarce, however, Braylen seemed to revel in hanging around, boasting about the huge lead he held in the contest, and embarrassing the other two as they made fumbling attempts to bring their relationship closer.

Things became so miserable that Deb resorted to reading the book Keira had given her!

Reece and Alysha apparently decided that this outing could only end badly, and both opted out entirely.

Upon their return to the HRS house that evening, almost everyone was feeling stressed.

Keira presented Hunter with his volume, The Hunt for Hunter, with her usual jeers.

Hunter, apparently feeling that the evening had already gone on way too long, told her that her opinion was worth exactly what he’d paid for it, and slammed the door on his way up to bed.
