Reece is a Whiny What????! Day 12

After the relative success of her party, Aileen woke on Day 12 feeling confident and motivated.  Finding the green hat still outside her door only strengthened these feelings, and she began the day with a brisk run on the treadmill.

Other sims seemed to feel differently.  Efrain and Keira bonded over some shared trash kicking out in the yard.

Deb thought perhaps a quick sink shower might help.

Alysha wasn’t feeling well.  She blamed her malaise on a cold caught from getting her feet wet on her fishing expedition the day before, but a number of sims seemed to be feeling a bit poorly.  Perhaps there had been a little more juice in the drinks than usual during the party?  If so, Aileen wasn’t telling.

Finding herself in the Loser chair once Morning Meeting, Alysha maintained that it wasn’t her fault she’d done poorly the day before.  It was just fate—who can change their destiny?  I'm not at all sure what Reece and Efrain were doing during that conversation--

During Morning Meeting, Hunter felt it best to alert Aileen to the trash situation outdoors.  She promised to look into it right after the meeting.  Efrain and Keira insisted that you never knew what treasures you might find in the trash bin.

Aileen let the sims know that there would be another BBQ in the park in Oasis Springs that evening, as well as the presentation of Braylen’s third common room painting, and Keira’s first book.  This announcement was received without much enthusiasm.

When the sims dispersed to take care of their morning chores and tasks, Keira seemed to feel inspired at the thought of starting her presentations. She was heard chortling over the computer during her morning writing session.

Aileen found the mess Hunter had described to her, and was not pleased.  She had had her doubts about her fellow HRS sims from the start, and this sort of disgusting behavior only confirmed her feelings.  Feeling put-upon, she cleaned up the mess—after all, she didn’t want the neighbors looking down on the household any more than absolutely necessary!

Alysha’s bad day continued—the day after a big party was a hard one to find yourself in the Loser position, with all the cleaning to take care of.  It took so long that she didn’t make it out to the garden for the second day in a row.  Who knew what condition her plants would be in by the next day?

At 6 PM, the sims travelled to Oasis Springs for the barbecue.  Braylen quickly struck up a conversation with Cassandra Goth.  Now that he’d seen the point breakdown, he had a pretty good idea of what was likely to garner points on an outing, and intended to maintain his lead.

He couldn’t restrain a maniacal laugh at the thought of almost certainly winning this competition.

Some of the other sims made at least token attempts to meet other sims during the evening, while others stayed to themselves.

Upon returing to the house, Braylen’s most recent painting received pretty much the response he had become accustomed to.  “Eet ees just the jealousie, no?  Zee others, they cannot compete wees my genius, so zey make petty critiques.  Eet will avail them nothing in zee end.”

Finally, the sims gathered in the dining room for Keira’s book presentation.  She took malicious glee in explaining exactly why she had chosen the title she did.

Reece, of course, was affronted.

He came up with some snappy comebacks of his own, which just led Keira to remark that he had proven her point.

As always, she showed no hesitation in striking some underhanded blows.

In the end, Aileen felt it necessary to end the presentation.  “Enough, enough, people!  It’s been a long day—I suggest we all get some sleep!”

Keira, of course, couldn’t let Reece go without a parting gibe.  I doubt the others are looking forward to finding out what books she’s prepared for them!
